Our
easiest trek in the Everest Region, Everest Encounter was designed to give
you a taste of the Sherpa culture as well as a view of Everest surrounded
by other Himalayan giants. Passing through lively mountain villages enroute
to Namche Bazaar our route enters the snow clad Himalayas. Veering off the
main route we visit Thame and its ancient monastery before reaching the
village of Tengboche with its spectacular view of Everest. Sitting below
what many consider Nepal's most beautiful mountain, Ama Dablam, Tengboche
is home to the region's most active and colorful Tibetan Buddhist monastery.

| Nowhere in the world is there a higher concentration of 8,000 meter mountains than in the Everest region. Our Trek follows an incredible route through these lofty summits. Each day you walk along trails dwarfed by handfuls of peaks over 25,000 feet tall. If you have always dreamed of visiting Nepal and seeing the highest point on earth than this is definitely the trip. A mountain flight brings us directly into the heart of the mountains. Starting in Lukla we head north through the Dudh Kosi River gorge toward Namche Bazaar. At this point we enter into the high Himalayas. Our route not only visits Everest Base Camp, but travels a unique selection of trails through the Khumbu region. Climbing several smaller trekking peaks and crossing the Cho La pass, which separate the region's two main drainages, we get a complete taste of this area and incredible variety of vantage points in which to view these soaring mountains. | ||||

This trip explores Nepal's diverse landscapes and cultures. Created for intermediate kayakers and all rafters the Seti trip combines trekking and whitewater paddling. The trip travels from the snow covered Himalayas to Nepal's sub-tropical jungles. Limited to eight people, our goal is to interact with and learn about the places and people we pass. To insure this our trip is run differently; we travel on less trodden trails and down an isolated river. These choices allow us to enter areas that few tourists have visited, making the Seti trip a unique adventure. |
