From
the voyage of Darwin to this special tour, the mystery and allure of Patagonia
has drawn explorers, hikers and nature lovers for centuries. We begin our
adventure among the emerald islands of the Chiloe Archipelago; an area steeped
in culture and maritime history, rolling pastures, old growth forests and
penguin colonies. To get a better feel for the cultural treasures of the
area we will board Cahuella, a 50-foot handcrafted cruiser to navigate among
the islands, stopping at centuries old churches and antique farmhouses.
Cahuella will then cross over to Pumalin Park on continental Patagonia,
an area of steep walled fjords, ancient forests, glacier covered volcanoes
and natural hot springs that is only accessible by sea. Here we can take
moderate hikes into remote valleys where no roads exist. Our tour continues
with a flight to southern Patagonia and several days amidst the diverse
beauty of Torres del Paine National Park. This park is famous for its emerald
lakes, golden grasslands, glacier-covered peaks and the spectacular granite
spires that give the park its name. A combination of 6 days cruising through
the fjords of Patagonia and 5 easy day hikes. This trip is limited to 7.. |

This
cruise starts on the big island of the
Chiloe, known for its rich folklore, fantastic wildlife, and varied seafood.
Your lovely vessel, Cahuella, will sail among many smaller islands, dropping
anchor every evening so you can go ashore and visit friendly local families
and explore their beautiful farms. Each night will be spent in beautiful
calm bays and each day we explore the islands hiking, sea kayaking,
or by a motorized outboard zodiac. Leaving the multitude of islands of the
Chiloe Archipelago, we will make our way to the spectacular grandeur of
mainland Patagonia and its canals and steep walled fjords. Here you will
witness the untouched wilderness of the steep glacier-topped Andes, old
growth temperate rainforest and numerous hot springs that motivated the
protection of over 600,000 acres as South America's newest and largest park
project. Your professional chef will keep your appetite sated with the freshest
products from the sea and local farms while the spectacular cultural treasures
of the archipelago together with the natural majesty of the fjords will
make your experience unforgettable. |

a special holiday enjoying the comforts of Cahuella amidst the wildest beauty
of Patagonia. This trip has as its destination the famous National Park

journey will start near the port city of Puerto Montt and cross the lovely
island of Chiloe where you will spend your first night. Then you will board
your vessel and head through breathtaking fjords, islands and innumerable
canals, stopping every night in protected bays where you will have an opportunity
to sea kayak, fish or enjoy on shore hot springs. Special meals prepared
by your professional chef will make every evening feel like a celebration.
